You might have to rinse/wash your cap in some Seafoam or something similar. Sometimes these caps can accumulate dirt and gunk (technical term ;) ), which may be blocking the relief vent. Try that one first. The 1500s do want to hang onto the pressure for a bit, but I dont think an hour is correct.

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

Keep in mind that the fuel is sitting right next to a hot engine, which will still be quite warm an hour after running. Soaking the cap in a solvent (i.e. Seafoam) will help clear vent passages, but if you aren't experiencing a problem, then you probably have nothing to worry about.

My 1500 SE dose the same thing with pressure building up....... I have soaked the gas cap Sea-Foam and flushed it out another time with W-D 40. I still get pressure build up and every once in a while I have gas dripping from the middle black drain hose on the bottom right side. Any Ides from anyone what I should try next...... it also starts hard after a full warm up and then sits for 30 minutes or more????????????

could the pressure build up be pushing gas into the carbs, making it act like it is being flooded???
