Floorboard extensions

Postby jimdar » Thu May 14, 2015 6:58 pm

Hi - I have a pair of floorboards made by Markland - they clamp around the engine guards - no matter where I seem to adjust them to, my knees keep banging against my wind wings, even though I have them turned in as far as they will go - has anyone ever seen or built an " extension " to have these stick out a little further - any help would be appreciated - cheers - Jim

I have never seen one and since they are for the 1500 if there ever was one you probably won't find any now. But you could make your own buy putting a longer bolt in where the board mounts to the mount. If all else fails you could try buying different mounts, they make mounts that clamp onto the crash bar and have different size arms.

I too have the Markland boards and can't imagine my feet further apart. It makes my hips sore if I do. I took the front boards off and use the hiway pegs with the Markland boards and I can move my feet pretty good.
