special need tires
Nerve damage in my legs
makes bringing my '95 Goldwing to a full stop. Am seeking extra flat tread profile for maximum stability at low speeds. Most of my mileage is long distance traveling with heavy load and passenger. Understand will sacrifice maneuverability for greater low speed stability, but that's better than falling down.

Re: special need tires
If I were you, I would reach out directly to the manufacturers of M/C tires and explain what you need to them. You might just find some good info. The local shops should be able to tell you how to get ahold of them at the Technical Level. Good luck with the search and with the legs.

Re: special need tires
I think you can get contact info on most reputable tire manufacturers on their website.
I am more familiar with what is happening with the GL1800 but have you explored the idea of a car tire on the rear of your Wing. I have no suggestions but suspect a google search may turn up something after you do a search on this site.
Please understand that I do not endorse the use of a car tire on a motorcycle but many are doing it quite successfully.

here's something you might want to look into, its not cheap, but it might help you....http://landingear.com/ when you go onto the site, scroll down to where it says "GEN II" and double click on it to bring up the video and you'll see how it works.

Re: special need tires
Thanks to all replies. Stuart, I liked the Leg-Up system at the Landing Gear Website. I'm going to a dealer tomorrow. I think it will solve my problems completely.
Thanks again,
Tedman

Re: special need tires
tedman, your very welcome, but like i said, that unit isn't cheap, but for you i think it might be a good idea. there are other units like that out there but do the research on all of them then find out which one will be the best for you and your bike. go onto Bing, and type "landing gear for Honda Goldwings" into the searchbox and see how many listings come up for them.
good luck with it and keep us posted on it.
