lights and gauge issue

Postby PPAYNE » Mon Jun 08, 2015 1:02 pm

The fuel gauge light, the OD light, and the side marker lights do not come on when started. However, sometimes they come on if I hit a bump leading me to believe there may be a ground wire loose. Where do I start to look to track this issue down?

It could be a bad ground (specifically, S172) - but if this were the case, you would also be having problems with your turn signals, headlights, and several other things.

I would first check fuse 8, relay 3, and C73, specifically the brown/white wire, which should have +12V (and powers both).
