My new to me 2000 se has a sticker in the trunk that saying compufire and it charges really good but the dealer put standard battery in I how bad is that .

is it a lead acid with the tube on the side or an agm? if its a lead acid battery can you return it

It's a lead acid .the dealer in stalled just before I got it .will that cumpufite over charge it

Yep most likely and will boil it dry..at least that's what compu says use only sealed gel battery..
