ok i'm new, had my bike towed twice please tell me if its the alternator..charge the battery, start the bike runs for 6 minutes and dies .hook the charger on it and it's down to 10 percent charge. could that kill a new battery that quick? any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd suspect the battery is bad if it's dying that quickly. Even if the stator or regulator/rectifier were bad you'd probably get more than 6 minutes of running time out of a fully charged battery, unless you've got the bike lit up like Times Square.
Get a multimeter and a shop manual. There's some simple tests you can run to help pinpoint the problem - do a search on this site and you'll probably find them if you don't have a manual.
