no power

i changed the starter selonoid on my 97 1500se .i had the positive cable off at the battery. i touched the cable to the positive post with the key on. everything came on then went off now i have no power to anything. ive got power to the fuse box and the relay box but not coming out of either. ive checked all the fuses andthey are good.replaced one relay i thought was bad and still no power .any thoughts would help thanks in advance

I'll look at the schematic when I get home.Bout a hour or so.8:30.Central.
Do any relays click when you cycle the key?

Here's the power distrubution.
Does the bike have voltage at the acc.terminal with the key on?

no sir no power at al all ive got power to the relays just not going any where else

With no volts on the ACC terminal with the key on, you have just 2 possibilities.Either the 30 amp main fuse is bad or the ignition switch is bad....Use your test probe...Turn on the key...locate that 30 amp doggone fuse and probe each terminal...Key must be in the on position...
The bike does have a bunch of fuses.the one your looking for is to the right of the battery...There's 2 of them there..a 55 amp and a 30 amp...probe both sides of the 30 amp fuse...don't just look at it..test it with the key on.Prove it.

found the problem had a bad conection at the main fuse thanks for all your help virgilmobile
