Headlight Modulator

Post by Camer12 » Mon Jul 20, 2015 6:06 pm

i just installed a Modulator and when I plug my headset in I get a beeping noise when the lights blink. It doesn't affect the radio without the headset plugged in.

If you have a elctronics store near, you should be able to buy one instead of the amount shown!

And where would you mount it, on the modulator, or the head set?

Have you looked your alt over, and see if you still have the capacitor on the side of it? If not, get it.

It goes on the cord the headset plugs into. I placed mine where the pig tail comes out of the fairing.
Probably need one on the passenger plug-in also.

Noise suppressors should normally be placed as close as possible to the source of the noise, not the thing that is being affected by the noise. If the headlight modulator is causing noise, then place chokes and noise suppressors on the wiring supplying the headlight - as physically close to the headlight as possible (but in between the modulator and the bike wiring harness).

I plugged the headset in with the radio off and it still makes the beeping sound.
