Timing Belt Question..

Postby mrjay62 » Sat Aug 08, 2015 9:31 pm

Hi Everyone..

I decided to replace the timing belts tonight...
When I 1st looked at it the left side if you facing the bike looked like it was off a half tooth...
So I cranked over again the center Crank and right side is spot on, so I cranked over by hand 3 more times, Made no difference still off a little.
So I replaced both belts lightly tighten things up and cranked it over 5 more times and the left side is still off, I swapped belts , didnt make a difference, I can get it a half tooth above or below the mark but for the life of me I can not get I dead on.....

Common? No Enought to worry about? Anyone else seen this before??

hope u can see the pics clearly.
Gezzz it wont let me post pictures! GRRRRR,!
Thanks guys
Jay

I have been getting the same message every time I try to post a pic. . . .

As for the belts, if they turned over smoothly, no TIGHT spots while turning type of thing, they should be fine. . .
Reputation is what other people know about you. Honor is what you know about yourself. Our stress about it happens when the two aren't the same. Be true to yourself and to hell with what everyone else thinks!
