GL-1500 rear brake pad "brackets"?

Postby n5926g » Sun Aug 09, 2015 7:34 am

Mornin guy,s...While waiting for my caliper rebuild kit,I am trying to figure out something...Removed the OEM pads, and they have a "bracket" attached to the back, and my replacement pads do not.I tried to pry the brackets off,but they appear to be REALLY attached...Has anyone seen this? and if so,what is the "fix"...The new ones are off ebay, and I did see some that had the OEM brackets attached but ordered the new ones before I took the caliper apart.... :o

Are you talking about the metal plate on the back of the pad? That should pry off.
