Has anyone had any experience making their own windshield. I have a great local glass shop and lean is available from lower as well. I am an extreme do it yourselfer so the idea intrigues me a lot. Any input other than how dumb i am is appreciated.

I can't say that I've ever heard anyone doing it before. I've heard of people cutting off the top because they thought it was too tall.
I guess you could start out with lexan around .18 and use yours as a mold or template.
I would worry more about the wind rattling it around, having it snap and fly back at me while going down the road.
There's probably a reason why windshield cost as much as they do and it's not the materials.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood!
