Cruise control on 1500 - set at 80 km/h max

Post by callieh » Fri Oct 02, 2015 8:49 am

I'm in South Africa.

I think my 1500 comes from Japan as the radio cannot pick up all the local frequencies we use here, and my cruise control will set to a max op 80 km/h (50 mph).

How do I change the cruise control (without installing a NEW one obviously) so that it can do higher speeds (speed limit in SA is 120 km/h on open roads although that is an INDICATION as nobody adheres to it anyway)

Of course it will be nice to change the radio frequency channels as well but that it not as serious at this stage.

Go here http://gl1800a.osborn-us.com/wingcruisecontrol.html to find the instructions on defeating the 80 mph limit on the GL1500 Cruise control limit.
