Turn signals completely fail

Postby papaBryan3322 » Fri Oct 02, 2015 5:59 pm

My GL1500 Goldwing trike conversion suddenly lost turn signals. Brake lights work. Switch will not remain in turn position. Dash lights and all four signals fail. Checked fuse - good. Any other ideas?

Brake lights and horn working OK indicate that there's power available to the flasher.
If the Hazzard flasher works, the wiring to the switch and lamps is OK.
All that's left is the flasher or cancel module.
The Hazzard flasher and turn signal flasher are interchangeable...
The canceler module does provide the ground circuit to operate the flasher...should it be bad,the flashers will not work...there is a test for that.
One can activate the turn signals by grounding the blue/black wire at the module...This will enable the flasher module and should blink the side that was last operated by the switch.
