Coolant Leaking

I have a 97 GL1500 SE. I recently developed a leak that is definitely coming from one of the hoses on top of the engine.
Given the age and mileage on the bike I want to replace all of the coolant lines. Not just the leaking one.
My question is can I replace the lines with the engine in the bike. If I remove the carbs will I have enough access to do this?
I really don't want to pull the motor.

Cannot answer your full question, however, I am aware that quite often the quality control people at the factory overlooked the fact that workers were leaving an adhesive sticker in place. As this sticker deteriorate, it would cause a leak. You might try removing the particular hose, and removing the sticker, and then putting everything back. Also, while you are at it, and if you havent done it for a while, you might take the time to replace the coolant (silicant-free of course).

If you want to replace all hoses then it would be easier to access with carbs, fans and radiators removed. Not a job for the faint of heart. :o

Determine where and why (hose damage/loose clamp) it is leaking before condemning all hoses.

All the 1500's radiator hose pipes had a plastic sleeve installed as a service aid for hose removal.
