Using iPhone gps app through the speakers anyone?

Postby Johnf1059 » Mon Oct 05, 2015 7:59 pm

Would like to use my iPhone gps app when going on long rides. But want it to cut the music for verbal directions. I have a jack that I can plug my phone into but the radio has to be on auxiliary to hear it. Any way to do this?? Thanks ;)

Not sure if the GPS Audio Input will work on Interstates, but it is available through the Store here.
It uses the intercom instead of the Aux.

It will work on any GL1500 (or GL1800) that has a headset connection - so basically, all of them. It works through the intercom, so it will ONLY put the sound into the headphones, NOT the speakers.

Hi.. it will work, and pretty easy too.. no wiring whatsoever.. what you need is a bluetooth cassette..http://www.pearl.de/a-PX1493-1521.shtml. You can have all the audio.. gps, music and even telephone through the speakers. I have it working for months.. and am very satisfied.

Cheers, Hans

Thanks for all the replies! The Bluetooth thing sounds good but I don't have a cassette player. Is there some other Bluetooth device that I could use?

Hi.. yes there is.. in the Diy part is a manual how to add bluetooth to your wing. I haven't done it.. but it doesn't look too complicated if you're handy with a soldering device and screwdriver...

H... its adding an aux input to your radio, connect a tiny bluetooth adapter to it (about 10 euros) and thats it. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5316. There's also a movie on youtube do a search on bluetooth and goldwing

Hope you can get it to work.
Cheers, Hans
