GL1500 rear panel removal

I am doing some work on the rear of my wing(1990 GL1500) and the tupper ware panel where the license plate is,,, how do you remove this panel???

check the chrome tabs, remove and undo screws, if thats what you are asking.

I have removed the screws... Is it just held on with tabs after the screw removal???

you might check the how-to-articles on this. I remember when i was changing my rear tire, i went ahead and removed all the bags and such and ran into the same issue, if i remember correctly, there might be some hidden tabs that interlock and you just wiggle it free.

Still have to remove the bracket that holds the tag.

Like was said, remove the two screws that hold the license plate bracket on. Both bottom corner pieces have one screw under each chrome tab/cover and a wire connector behind them. Remove them. Remove four bolts in each saddlebag and pull the bags outward. There are tabs on the inboard side of the bags that engage with the panel you're trying to remove.

Lehigh Acres. I used to deliver live rabbits to a snake dealer just down the road from you. Night time run down there and sleep in the truck to deliver there. Been a while since then. 8-)
