88 GL1500 Hissing-vibration noise at 2500rpm

Hi Goldwingers! I'm wondering if anybody ever experienced this on their GL1500...on mine (which I've only had for a week now), there's a particular hissing noise, along with a faint vibration I can feel in my handlebars and footpegs, at around 2500rpm only in 5th gear, especially when I'm on compression...it is also more present when the engine is hot (normal hot) as opposed to when it's cold...it doesn't affect the bike's performance or response at all, so I don't know if it's a mechanical noise, or even a plastic/metal shield noise (everything seems real solid upon inspection), perhaps even the alternator's belt, or maybe the gas pump? One thing is for sure, the noise is heard on both sides, but noisier on the right side of the bike. My trusted mecanic is on holidays for a few weeks, so I thought I'd ask my fellow Goldwingers in this forum. Thanks for any input...and ride safe!
