Hey again fellow Goldwingers! I was closely reading the owner's manual for my "brand-new-second-hand-88-Goldwing" (haha) and I noticed 2 things that triggered my curiosity: one is the max load of 408lbs...I find it odd that my (now retired) 84 Interstate was 450lbs...one would expect that a bigger bike would have a higher max load...with 408lbs, that means I can only ride with a 140lbs-or-less woman! lolll Second is the maintenance schedule chart for oil/filter and spark plugs...the manual says to change the oil/filter every 7500 miles, and replace spark plugs every 3750 miles...shouldn't it be the opposite? In my 34 years of riding, I've always changed the oil/filter every 3,000 miles or so on all the bikes I've owned, and never replaced spark plugs before 12,000-15,000 miles...what's your experience with the GL1500?

I've had my "brand-new-second-hand-88-Goldwing" for about 3 weeks now and have put about 2500 miles on her, so I would be interested in the response you get on your question.

Mine says 8k miles, I've been changing my oil at 4k. I'm not changing the plugs till necessary. I check them every oil change though.
