REVERSE LEVER

Postby BOSNBOB » Mon Oct 26, 2015 5:23 am

HEY GUYS HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING THIS FINE DAY. I HAVE A 1993 ASPENCADE AND MY PROBLEM IS THAT ONCE IN AWHILE MY BIKE WILL NOT START UNLESS I PLAY WITH THE REVERSE LEVER A LITTLE. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES PLAYING WITH THE LEVER THEN THE NEUTRAL LIGHTS COMES ON AND IT STARTS. DO YOU THINK SOMETHING IS LOOSE IN THE SWITCH OR WHAT. SOME HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

You can check where it makes contact for alignment but more likley the switch needs replacing.

This is such a common failure item on the GL1500 that Cyclemax keeps OEM replacements in stock:
