which ones are better, the all balls or the stock honda bearings? and why? thanks

They're actually pretty much equivalent. Unlike other Goldwings (including the GL1800) that have captured ball bearings, the GL1500 steering head uses tapered bearings:



The universal upgrade for other models of Goldwing is to replace the OEM ball bearings with higher-capacity tapered bearings. The GL1500 has them already from the factory.

The All Balls bearings are just relabeled bearings from another manufacturer, and they are good quality bearings - just cheaper than OEM Honda. Either will work just as well, so it's your choice.
