GL1500 handlebars

Postby punch7 » Fri Nov 06, 2015 1:30 pm

As I age I guess I need to adjust the handlebars on the 2000SE for a more comfortable position. I remember having the mechanic adjust them to my liking when we uncrated our 1990 1500 but I never have adjusted them myself at home. I looked in the How-To Articles section but, unless I overlooked it, I didn't find anything about adjusting the handlebars. Can someone please shed some light on the procedure, please?

There wasn't a how-to on this, but I whipped one up for you: How to adjust your handlebars

Its really easy I've done mine a couple of times. Pull up the cover that the key is mounted in then pop off the bolt cover on the handlebar and adjust to your heart's content! Mine were too low when I got it and I adjusted them up but when I would turn the bars real sharp they would hit the windshield. But mine is a trike so I turn it real sharp.
