wire latch for trunks

Postby Keef » Mon Dec 14, 2015 9:25 am

Can any one tell me if the trunks, Lower. Left and Right side are supposed to have two of those wire things in both latches?
Mine only has one on each side. (the little wire thing that goes in the latch) sort a shaped like a v.

Those are secondary latches - they're little springs that keep the lids from flopping open when you unlatch them. More importantly, if you didn't properly latch a lid and it came open while riding, instead of flopping open and sending your underwear flying down the road, they keep the lid closed until you actually pull them open.

You should have only one per side.
