Air pressure in Front tire

Postby Csj992 » Tue Feb 02, 2016 5:21 pm

Hey Guys, Just got me a Goldwing 1500 with a Champion trike kit. I'm loving it. My question is this. The front tire is a Michelin Commander 2 rear tire turned around backwards. I was wondering if this is a common practice. Also the previous owner only had 22lbs. in the tire. I always ran 36 in my road king(2 wheels). I was wondering what is normally used in a trike for the front tire. Thanks, Charlie

Most seem to run 40/41psi.
IMO, this results in a very harsh ride!
I run 36psi in my reverse rotation mounted Michelin on my 1800 Wing/Hannigan. Much smoother ride for me!

Csj922, I would get more info on tire pressure for your trike from some trike owners. That tire is not the same as what a normal bike tire would be and pressure for for that set up will be different than for a 2 wheeler. Just my .02! Good luck.
