Mystery hose

Hey guys! What is this hose, where is it supposed to go, and why might PO have done this?

(gl1500, left side- intake manifold to ?)

It's the vac line to the PAIR solenoid valve behind the left inner fairing. I'm guessing he wanted to eliminate the emissions control.

is this something I should replace?

Might this have something to do with the carb missing or running very rich? (the reason I'm tearing it down)

This is my first time under the plastic of an import, bear with me....
