Clutch replacement guidance

Post by estavtn » Mon Feb 15, 2016 8:40 pm

I am preparing to pull the clutch from the 1500 engine in order to remove the rear cover. Does anyone know of a thread that has guidance on this, primarily where to acquire the special tools needed for removing the clutch basket, as well as tools for holding the main shaft in order to remove the output shaft nut? I have not had luck finding this on this site. Thanks.

Don't know if you have a Honda Service manual, but it will certainly help with the work.
It also has a "tools" section that gives the Honda part numbers for the tools.
Good luck finding them, especially for a one time use.
Perhaps you can talk with a Honda shop and see if a more generic tool will work.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood!
