Spark,fuel,compression.
Which one is bad.?
I doubt the compression because it did just run,so the next step is checking for spark...If there's plenty of robust spark on a cylinder, you have a fuel problem.
A few possibilities here...Dead fuel pump,inoperative vacuum petcock valve,etc.
If there's no spark, operate the kill switch several times...they can have problems there with connection.

Do the light's work? Check all the fuses. Coils should have a relay but I'm not sure which one.
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.

No spark...
Get to the fuse box.check fuse #2 and verify relay #8 clicks when you turn on the key.
The bank angle sensor operates the relay. This relay sends power to the kill switch and then to the ignition system

Remove the kill switch and check the connectors underneath. Many miles and years of handlebar vibration will cause these connector screws to get loose therefore you have no power to control module or fuel pump. I had this happen on my 92 Interstate at 78K. Tightened the screws and no more problems. Add some thread locker to the screw threads.

Those who say it cannot be done should try not to interrupt those who are doing it.

While you gave the 2 halfs apart clean the inside with electronic contact cleaner.
