Carb overhaul

Postby GillesGLW » Mon Mar 14, 2016 2:16 pm

Hi everyone,

Greetings from Switzerland.

I had a small issue today while working on my carbs overhaul. While I had no issue counting the number of turn with my first idle pilot screw, I messed up the process with the second one, at it has a small screw on top of the main idle screw (maybe only the swiss models have that).

Anyway, I'm not sure of the number of turn for the second pilot idle screw.

Are you able to tell me guys if you have the same number of turns on your idle screws? I'm tempted to set the second carb like the first one.

What's your view on that?

Thanks!
Gilles

Re: Carb overhaul - Solved

my mistake... I should never write on the evening....

I just had a look on the Clymer book and it says that I have to re-do the entire setup for the idle pilot as I put new screws on the carbs.

So no chance to escape from the carb setup :-)
