Big foot question

Post by Uncle Fester » Wed Mar 16, 2016 8:08 pm

Okay, here is the issue. . . When I wear my tactical boots ( Bates zip on ) my feet fit the pegs and shifter / brake just fine. BUT when I wear my new Red Wings steel toe "Biker" boots, I have trouble with the shifter. I wear a size 13 boot, so. . .

To all my brothers out there with big feet, what mods have you done to make your shifter and boots work together better ?

Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.

I suppose you could pull the shifter off and reinstall it on the next spline upward - this should raise the shifter nearly an inch or so, so you could get your boot toe underneath it. Of course it will take a bit of getting used to, especially for downshifting.

I had the same issue on my 94' 1500GL and did what WingAdmin suggested...so far so good!
