Rough clutch lifter rod

Postby allen_p » Sat Mar 19, 2016 6:06 pm

I removed the slave cylinder from my 94 gl 1500 and was going to replace the seals. I took the lifter rod out and it is scoured badly. I think they both need replacing. I found the piston but cannot find the rod. The cylinder looks to be in good shape. Does anyone have a part number or a suggestion on where to look. I've looked and looked and found one used one on ebay, but it looks to have marks on it as well.

I wire brushed them both and reused mine, but turned the rod around when it's installed.
The seal on the piston is the only part of it that contacts the cylinder wall. The rod, just make sure the crusty side isn't in contact with any of the seals.
