1988 gold wing 1500 fuel leak

Post by thisisme » Sun Mar 20, 2016 3:47 pm

I have fuel leaking that appears to be in the area between the carbs and the front of the petcock area. I am able to spot it, as I have the air filter element out. Seems to run fine, but gas is streaming out. What would be my next step to getting closer to the source?

Check the accelerator pump area - it could be "O" rings on the stand pipe - mine leaked badly there - due to age and not being used for a few years.

Somewhat common leak point are float bowl gaskets and will drip between carbs.
