Post by notsobright » Thu Mar 31, 2016 8:06 pm

Hey all
Spring has sprung in Indiana and so has my air shock on my 1990 1500se.
not air but sipping a little oil. manuals says not to try and rebuild take to Honda.
Ist question is that a true statement
2nd question should I have shock rebuild or should I try to find good used one or what about the progressive units for 1500's I have progressive on rear of 82 1100 but is different setup.
thanks for your help

I don't know what manual says that but the FSM doesn't and has the seal replacement procedure in it. The part # is here http://www.westernhonda.com/fiche_secti ... veh=190487

back in 2011 I blew the seal in the left shock so I replaced both with progressive 416 shocks
