rim Weights and Dyna Beads

Postby guitarzan » Mon Apr 04, 2016 7:26 pm

Hi,
I'm going to be using Dyna Beads and my question is this. I see weights on the rims. Now do I remove those weights when I use the Dyna Beads? I watched a couple of videos and you can see the weights on the rims and nobody mentioned removing the weights. I just want to make sure I do the right thing for safety sake.

Thank you all
Frank

Thank you. That's such a good Idea! I'm a fisherman too. Thanks again.

The purpose of the beads is to continuously balance the tire.additional weights don't help.
I've used beads in everything I've owned for the last 10 years. Most of my tires dry rot before the tread wears off. With new tires on my wing with beads and no lead on the rim, they run smooth from idle to well past the speed limit.

I have never used beads until this last tire change about 500 miles back. I really do not see a difference in the ride but hope the tires will last longer
