Muting intercom

Postby bohdan » Mon Apr 18, 2016 7:45 am

Greetings fellow Goldwingers
Here is a question. I use my 1500 to travel between projects rather extensively. I have a GPS with the voice activation that I have used with my Zumo. Anyway, I have tried putting tape over my mic. That works, albeit sorta dorky. I know there is a device that eliminates the wind noise, but I a looking if anybody has done a simple on off switch for the microphone portion. Seems that this would settle a bunch of problems. Mighty obliged.

This product from Mic Mutes is the only one that is designed for what you are looking for.

This won't work on 2012 or newer 1800s. ???

Correct, but the OP says that he wants to use it on his 1500.

Thanks. This is the ticket. I looked at this a while back and didn't remember the off-on switch. Little pricey but what isn't now and days.. Mighty obliged for your help. Cheers
