Choke Sticking!

Postby cbond007 » Thu Apr 21, 2016 2:10 pm

Hello,
I have a 1993 GL1500A and after taking it out of storage I notice that the Choke is sticking on, at about 3/4. I took the left HB controls apart and the cable seems to move freely but it will not disengage from about the 3/4 position.
Any help?

My 89 was sticking one year when I brought it out of storage.Thought the cable was seizing so I sprayed it with silicone spray into the top and worked it.Ended up having to pull the air box and lubing the linkage at the carbs.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

Is it possible to remove the airbox in a similar manner as changing the air filter? or does the side flaring have to be removed?
