No Brake Lights

Postby jtornese » Sat Apr 23, 2016 4:30 pm

I have tail lights, but no brake lights. Neither the front handbrake , or the rear pedal is lighting up the brakelights. I have a Back off modulator, which I cut out to to see if it had malfunctioned. However, with the factory wire connected back together without the back off, there is still no brake lights!! Any Ideas??????????????????????????

I'm setting in Walmart so I can't confirm but isn't there a brake lamp relay.?
It could be swapped with one of the others to test.

Thanks for the reply, I had already tried that. I have however, solved it finally. I realized that the brake lights were actually stuck on. I then found the foot brake switch was corroded and frozen. I will replace it as soon as a get a new one, but at least I can ride in the interim and get the safety of flashing brake lights from my hand lever for now that I compressed the frozen brake light switch into the "off "position.
