GL1500 Kick Stand Rubber Switch Boot/Cover

Postby GBKid » Sun May 01, 2016 12:23 pm

I own a 1989 GL1500 and the kick stand rubber switch boot/cover is torn into 2 halves. Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement without having to buy the entire switch?

That boot was never made available as a separate part. You can find a used switch assembly for around $20, or a new replacement is around $50 - the part number is: 35710-MN5-003

Thank you WingAdmin. I did find the going price of a new switch and I didn't want to spend that much. I could not find used ones available anywhere, but I would be a little reluctant to buy a used one because it seems to me I'd be taking a risk not knowing how much life was left in the switch and the condition of the dust boot. I'll look for a used one that I can examine first to see how good the condition of the dust boot is and buy it if it is good and keep the switch as a spare. Thanks again.
