Looking for seat mod. info

Post by 2manywings » Tue May 17, 2016 10:17 am

Back several years ago when I was riding a GL1500, I picked up a used seat that had air bladders installed in both the driver and passenger seat areas. they were controlled by two air check valves located on the left side of the seat. When you were off of the bike, they would self inflate, then when you sat down you would push in on the valve which allowed air to escape until you reached your comfort zone. I'm trying to find out if they are still available, who handles them or basically any info anyone might have. I'm considering going back to a 1500 from my current 1800 which I can't seem to get comfortable on. So if anyone knows anything about this modification, I'd be grateful (or should I say my bottom side would be).

The Harleys have one called the air zeppelin. Not sure if they have one for the wing anymore.

Sounds like a cool mod, best of luck and keep us posted !
Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.

I actually have one on my 1500. No name. No tags. But it works just as you described.

I have one (only one) on my bike as well.
As with the others, there is no indication as to how it got there.
I'm sure the wife wishes that there was one for the passenger seat as well. :D
It's never too late to have a happy childhood!

Thanks for the reply. The one that I had was a stock seat that the cover had been removed, the bladders installed in both the driver and passenger seats, then the original cover re-installed. If it weren't for the valves on the left side, you'd never know that it was altered. I hope that someone out there can shed some light on the subject.
