So Lost

Postby grandmadan » Fri Jun 03, 2016 2:04 pm

The wires on the cruise cancelation switch on the front brake lever are unplugged. There are 4 wires. white-green small female end, black-blue large female end, green-white large female end, and a green-yellow small female end. This is on a 1995 1500 Goldwing se. Where do they plug in? Know there are 4 plugs but don't know which colors go where. I hate wiring!

They usually hookup to the same colors..can't you see the other connectors??

wht/grn into switch and out grn/yel which are stop lights front and rear.

blk/blu into switch and out grn/wht front brake cancel switch also goes to blk/yel which is clutch cancel switch

Ps I have a 1995 Honda shop manual..$45 plus shipping and it's yours..that's where I got this info.
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
NOW INTO 1500'S..RIDING A 1998 SE

FAIR WINDS,

These wires plug into the cruise cancel switch. Does it matter which colors plug in where? Have included pics.

According to my service manual, the cruise cancel switch should have the Black/Blue and Green/White wires connected. It's not polarity sensitive, as it is just a switch. If the terminals are of 2 different sizes, that would dictate which wire goes where.

Thank you for all the help. Kind of thought as long as they were sized and not color coded it shouldn't matter. Will give it a try as soon as we can get back at it.
