TWO spring shocks on GL1500 ???

Post by FM-USA » Sun Jun 05, 2016 9:27 am

CURIOUS:
Has anyone tried replacing the air shock with a spring shock?
Understandable there's no adjustment in this system, but how did it ride ONE UP and loaded?

It's fairly common to do, usually with Progressive shocks. I have a pair of Progressive 416's on mine, which are both spring with air, for the best of both worlds.

Both spring with air would be TI... ummm TOPS.
My way of thinking is,... I'm at 200K on my Wing and fig'rn if I have to replace 'X', I may as well do so with EXTRA longevity and parts availability (and costs) in mind.
Used air shocks are near double that of spring shocks. Once in a long while, one can get a BRAND NEW one when diligently searching with patience. I got one that was freshly taken off an unridden Wing for trike conversion... $25.00
ANYWAYS:
Was curious to someone actually using 2 spring shocks on a Wing and how good/bad it performs.
