GL 1500 will not run forward

Post by tht » Sat Jun 25, 2016 5:28 am

I start up the engine, put it in first gear, release the clutch and nothing happened. The bike will not run forward. Does anyone know what can cause this?
The revers is working.

If the clutch is burned up it will cause that. When was the last time it worked, had it been slipping, did the problem appear overnight?

It was happening during a trip with a lot of clutch using. If the clutch is burned, what do I have to change?

The clutch is probably shot. How is the pressure on the lever? You could try and bleed it first. Always try the easy stuff first.

Would also inspect the clutch master and slave cylinder. Slave can gum up and get nasty.
