Trunk Reflector

Postby shomann » Fri Jul 08, 2016 9:25 pm

I have a small crack in my left side trunk reflector. I hoped that replacing it would be as easy as removing the two 8mm bolts inside the trunk, but no. Whats the trick to getting the bottom part of the trunk down to get the reflector off, or is there another way?

Anyone have one for sale in good condition?

Thanks

Remove the screws from bottom across back of lower cover, work it back as you let rear drop .... it'll almost fall off.

It really is "simple".

My old ones had the three bar chrome garnishes which also use screws with tape, I bought both sides and rear off Ebay fairly cheap to get back to unmolested condition, no holes or cracks.

Sorry, I copied the wrong one. The left side here is only $13.99 with $5.95 shipping.

Since your replacing it you might as well get the ones that lite up. You can also get a harness so they flash with your turn signals, I have it on my 97 and it is an easy install.

I considered that, but am fine with them in the stock arrangement. Thanks

Hey joeincalif.

I have lighted side lights on my '93 trunk, but they don't flash. Can you point me in the direction of the wiring harness you mentioned?

Do you remem what they cost?

Thanks.

I bought mine through Cyclemax here for $12.
It is really easy to install by just plugging into the harness.
I also got this kit for the side fairing lights to flash with the front turn signals (also $12)
