The search is complete, now own a 93 Gl1500

Post by Breyno » Fri Jul 15, 2016 11:20 pm

After more than two decades of searching I have eventually taken delivery of a 1993 Gl1500 Aspencade. I have wanted one of these ever since I got my motorbike licence nearly 30 years, but could never afford it.
Luck and a motivated seller meant it ticked all the right boxes. Clean bike, 70,000km and no real problems as far as I can tell.

It has front and rear speakers that seem to swap every now and then as to which ones will work. Must be loose connection somewhere, question is where do I start. front ones crackle a bit as well. Is it worth replacing them with marine speakers.

will have a thousand more questions, probably more once I start looking through previous posts. Thanks to all.

Welcome to the forum mate. We have a few Aussies who hang around here. There are numerous threads here regarding Gl1500 speakers. Do a search for Gl1500 speakers

Congratulations on your new to you bike. :D

I suspect a bad connection somewheres on your front speakers. It may be when the front speakers cut out, you then hear the rear speakers that have been working right all the time.
