The screws at the top that says "acc terminal" are a good place. One is (+12v) the other is ground. I believe it is fuse slot #10 that powers this terminal, if it is not #10, it is labeled inside the fuse cover, should be easy to find.

If the accessory fuse is #10, and it is a 10A fuse, as indicated, you might want to replace and reduce the size of the fuse to near match your load and wiring. Your load is probably never more than 3-5 amps, and the wiring would probably be in the same range. I'd start with a 3A fuse and see if that doesn't work for you. That would match your USB outlets, if included. The votlmeter amps will be negligible.

I use a Battery Tender. I ran the cable direct from the battery to the right rear pod using a grommet to seal the hole. Battery Tender has a volt meter that connects to the cable and only operates when you tap a button so it doesn't drain the battery when not in use, although I almost never leave any accessory (iPad vis USB) connected to it (I forgot once).

I would have run a cable extender to the front to one of the pockets, but a PO ( I am third owner) had installed some type of stereo/amp in the pod and the hole was there and the stock cable reached.
