Wow what a loaded question open to everyone's interpretation. The fact is if you use the manufacturer's recommend oil you will be good for another 100,000 miles or so. You might do even better using a synthetic. How many oil related failures do see these days. Oil has have become so good it is hard to tell them apart. Poor maintenance is your biggest reason for motor issues. Put in some oil and ride, ride ride.

So true. 100 responses, 100 different opinions!
I have used eight different brands in the seventeen years that I have owned my 1500. I had the worst average gas mileage using Amsoil and the best average using Triton Royal Purple. ( All oils were synthetic.) Presently I run Shell Rotella T6. It is wet clutch friendly with no added friction modifiers and sells for a decent price at my local Wal*mart. What ever you decide to use just make sure you regularly change it along with a fresh quality oil filter and your Wing will run for many more happy miles!

Thanks harvey01, I haven't chosen an oil yet but the Honda synthetic sounds the best.
