USB charger mounting

Postby bstig60 » Sun Aug 14, 2016 11:17 pm

I am headed on a trip in a couple of weeks. I am going to be camping out and would like to mount a usb charger for my phone and ipad in the trunk. Anyone have any suggestions as to what product to use and how best to mount it.

I mounted a Duplex outlet in the trunk and also use a 100W Power Inverter with a USB port for all my charging needs.

Thanks for the responses. I am going to mount a single cigar lighter in the trunk connected directly to the battery thru a fuse. I bought a two port USB charging port that plugs into the lighter. That should take care of my charging needs securely.
I have thought of adding a battery to my camping trailer that is charged by the bikes alternator and installing a couple of lights inside. I still have the 40 amp alternator installed on the bike, so I may need to upgrade to a higher capacity alternator. Maybe a winter project. Any suggestions on the best way to do that?
