Need descriptions of Dunlop K177/D250/Elite 3

Post by flw » Mon Aug 23, 2010 10:07 pm

I'm going to be in need of new tires for the first time. I see Dunlop has several types that fit the GW1500. I ride mostly by myself and weigh about 230 lbs.

The K177, D251/ D250 and Elite 3 (maybe others for the rear). I cannot find the differences between these other than the prices. Can someone just give a web address with the description of these tires.

Or if someone can give me a sentence or two on each, it would be helpful.

i had to replace the e3 on the front of my 1500 wing late in july. the old tire was so worn down that the wear bars were worn down but the old tire still had good traction didn't hydroplane in the rain, it was made some noise in the curves just like a new one. don't know how many miles were put on the tire as it was on the wing when i got it but i put close to 12,000 miles on it myself. yes i did put a new e3 on my 1500 wing. i also have e3's on my 1200 wing, put them on with 37,7xx miles on the bike and now with 51,000 miles the tires still look new but the funny thing is while the front e3 on the 1500 sometimes makes noise the e3's on the 1200 have never made noise
