Why is there a left and right brake rotor? They look the same.

I wondered the same few days ago... last winter I updated EBC rotors and they are same model left/right.

Unfortunately I had bad luck with rear rotor (-88 model), it was not totally straight. Brake cylinder is moving sideways a bit when wheel is rotating. You can feel that in pedal when braking with "low pressure".

Well, bought them from ebay.de in the winter. Noticed this 4 months later when started this driving season...

Just bought from ebay a later model bracket so I will update bigger rear rotor next winter.

Amazing how confusing info you can find from internet about rotors and model id's vs year models.
