electrical problem

Postby crafter10 » Sat Aug 28, 2010 8:59 pm

I have a 1996 honda goldwing gl1500 aspencade. I went for a small ride before i left everything on the bike was working tail lights, running lights, instrument lights, kickstand down light all were working fine when i got home after about a 5 mile ride my tail lights stopped working my fuel guage doesn't work my kickstand warning light doesn't work my running lights don't work and the instrument lights don't work. I have head light and brake lights and radio works but the rest seem to have stopped working. I checked the main fuse block they seem to be ok is there any more fuses hidden maybe somewhere that might be causing these few items to stop working please someone can you help me I am trying to sell this and the way it is now no one will want it thanks I found the problem it was a fuse relay I ordered a new one so everything should be ok after this

Sounds like relay #3 has worked itself loose. If you can, remove they relay, clean the contacts, and try to tighten the female connectors with small needle nose pliers. The replace the relay. Good luck!
