I'm looking for a loud horn. I want something that looks /replaces the OEM horn. I do not want an air horn.
Can the 1800 horn work on the 1500?

I have added a set of fiamm horns to the existing stock horns. I do like the 1800 horns. I believe they could replace the 1500 horns.

The 1800 horns sound much better than the 1500... but they will not fit without modification to the mounting area. :(

I just added a set of Balkamp horns 730-1058 & 730-1059) to mine and they are much louder.
They are rated at 130 Db each and are a direct fitment, so no modifications are required.
I got them from NAPA Auto Parts and they were less than $15 each.

I second Keith's suggestion for the Fiamm horns.
I've had those on several bikes over the years.
They sound like full size car!
Makes people pay attention.

I also like the sound of Rivco air horns.
They sound like a diesel truck, but those babies are expensive.
