headlights not working

I have a 1998 Goldwing SE------headlights not working-----parking lights are working------checked fuses-all are good--check power on headlight plug with test light----no power !!!! What do I need to do next????? Thanks Allen

I believe there is a relay also involved. It would be i a box or panel behind the left side cover (sitting on the bike). Others will no doubt jump in with specifics.

Check your start switch, work it a few times and ensure it is springing back out. On 1800's it will stick in slightly and not return your lights after starting... contact spray around the button edges and some cycling helps de-gunk the contacts and such.

Thanks for the info. It was the starter switch ---I worked it a couple of times and the headlight started working. Thanks again Allen
